Yes. This is the point that needs to be made as loudly and clearly as possible. When the healthcare industry releases these little reports about how expensive the Baucus plan will be for Americans, they're making a promise, and it's a promise you can be sure they're going to keep. They will raise their prices. That's why healthcare reform without a public option is not healthcare reform.

Just let me know if you want a copy and we'll work out a way to get one to you. Sun, Sep. 27th, 2009, 07:42 pm

Hi guys. I don't know how many of you have been paying attention to these job postings. I've started to get more fervent about posting them since I know that a lot of us are unemployed or underemployed. I'm thankful not to be in that situation, so I hope that these might help out whoever reads them. I know that at least one of you has applied for some of these. This job in particular is a very special one, for a lot of reasons. Most importantly, you'd get to be my boss. Almost as importantly, you'd get to play a pretty strong role in the direction in which this organization is headed. If you have a lot of experience in writing, editing, and managing other writers and editors, and if you care a lot about technology and the nonprofit community, we need you in our organization. I very much do not want this job going to someone who doesn't understand writers or nonprofits. Technology, in the end, is secondary. Let me know if you're applying, even if I don't know you very well. I won't make up lies about you if I don't know you, but I will make sure the hiring manager doesn't ignore your resume.
